Printify MCP Terms of Use

1. Definitions

“Connection” means an authorization permitting an MCP Client to access Your Printify account through the Printify MCP Service.

“MCP” means the Model Context Protocol, an open standard for providing context and tools to AI models.

“MCP Client” means an MCP-compatible application or assistant that You use, operate or authorize, and that connects to the Printify MCP Service.

“MCP Client Operation” means any operation performed through the Printify MCP Service at the direction or initiative of an MCP Client, whether read-only or write.

“Output” means any content, data, response or recommendation generated by an MCP Client in connection with Your use of the Printify MCP Service.

“Printify Data” means information returned by the Printify MCP Service in response to a tool call, including catalog, blueprint, variant, print provider, pricing, shipping, product safety and order information.

“Printify MCP Service” means the Printify-operated MCP server, together with the tools it exposes.

2. Establishing a Connection

2.1. If You connect an MCP Client to the Printify MCP Service, You authorize it to act on Your behalf within the scope You grant when You sign in.

2.2. You represent that You have all rights, consents, and authority necessary to establish each Connection, to permit access to the relevant data sources, services, systems, and technology, and to allow us to transmit data to, receive data from, and process data received as contemplated by these MCP Terms. Where an MCP Client Operation causes personal data to be transmitted to the provider of an MCP Client, You are solely responsible for ensuring You have a lawful basis for that transmission. Printify does not appoint or endorse the provider of Your MCP Client as a downstream subprocessor.

2.3. MCP Clients are third-party services. Your use of an MCP Client is governed by Your own agreement with its provider; Printify is not a party to that agreement. Printify does not provide, operate, endorse, verify, vet or secure them, and has no obligation to monitor, support or troubleshoot them. The behavior and capabilities of an MCP Client are determined by its provider and may change without notice to You or to Printify. You bear the consequences of any such change.

2.4. Printify may publish, vary and enforce rate limits for the Printify MCP Service and may decline to respond to calls exceeding them.

3. Your Responsibilities

3.1. You are responsible for:

3.1.1. the MCP Client You select, for any person You permit to connect it to Your account, for reviewing and approving tool calls before they execute and for revoking the Connection in Your MCP Client’s settings when it is no longer required;

3.1.2. an MCP Client Operation performed under a valid Connection, which shall be treated as Your own act for all purposes under the Printify Terms and these MCP Terms;

3.1.3. promptly notifying us at security@printify.com if You become aware of any vulnerability or compromise related to the Printify MCP Service.

3.2. Designs, artwork, text, product titles, descriptions and other material You provide or submit through the Printify MCP Service, including any Output submitted to Your Printify account, constitute Your Content for purposes of the Printify Terms, and You are responsible for it, including under the representations You give in respect of Your Content under the Printify Terms. Printify Data is not Your Content. Nothing in these MCP Terms transfers to You any right, title or interest in Printify Data, or makes any Output Your Content to the extent it reproduces or summarises Printify Data without being submitted to Your Printify account. Printify reserves all rights in Printify Data.

4. Restrictions

4.1. You shall not, and shall not permit any third party to:

4.1.1. exceed any rate limit applicable to the Printify MCP Service, or issue tool calls at a volume or frequency that degrades or threatens the stability of the Printify MCP Service;

4.1.2. use the Printify MCP Service to train, develop, or improve any competing tool or service;

4.1.3. probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Printify MCP Service or circumvent any rate limits, authentication barriers, or security filters;

4.1.4. submit, store or use any content accessible through the Printify MCP Service to attempt prompt injection, tool poisoning, instruction override or any similar technique intended to manipulate the behavior of the Printify MCP Service, an MCP Client or an AI model;

4.1.5. crawl, enumerate, index, scrape, cache or bulk-extract the Printify catalogue, pricing, print provider data, or any other data available through the Printify MCP Service, other than reasonably necessary for Your own use of Your Printify account;

4.1.6. use the Printify MCP Service in any way that would breach these MCP Terms, Printify Terms, Printify Intellectual Property Policy, or applicable law.

5. Disclaimer of Warranty; Limitation of Liability

5.1. IN ADDITION TO, AND WITHOUT LIMITING, THE WARRANTY DISCLAIMERS IN THE PRINTIFY TERMS, THE PRINTIFY MCP SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ALL OF WHICH ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED SAVE TO THE EXTENT REQUIRED BY LAW. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, PRINTIFY DOES NOT WARRANT: (A) THAT THE PRINTIFY MCP SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE; (B) THAT ANY MCP CLIENT OPERATION PERFORMED, OR ANY OUTPUT GENERATED THROUGH THE PRINTIFY MCP SERVICE BY AN MCP CLIENT WILL BE CORRECTLY INTERPRETED OR EXECUTED, OR WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE; AND (C) THAT THE PRINTIFY MCP SERVICE IS IMMUNE TO ADVERSARIAL ATTACKS, PROMPT INJECTIONS, OR EXPLOITATION BY MALICIOUS THIRD PARTIES. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING ANY OUTPUT BEFORE RELYING ON IT.

5.2. PRINTIFY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF ANY MCP CLIENT OR ITS PROVIDER, INCLUDING CONSEQUENCES OF ANY MCP CLIENT OPERATION. PRINTIFY’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PRINTIFY MCP SERVICE IS SUBJECT TO THE LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY IN THE PRINTIFY TERMS, WHICH APPLY IN FULL AND ARE NOT INCREASED OR EXTENDED BY THESE MCP TERMS. NOTHING IN THESE MCP TERMS EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE EXCLUDED OR LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.

6. Indemnification

6.1. In addition to, and without limiting, Your indemnification obligations under the Printify Terms, You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Printify, its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners and Providers from and against any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party, including any provider of an MCP Client, due to or arising out of (a) Your selection, configuration or use of an MCP Client, or Your establishment of any Connection; (b) any act or omission of the provider of an MCP Client You have connected to the Printify MCP Service; (c) any MCP Client Operation performed through the Connection; (d) any data transmitted to, or received from an MCP Client or its provider in connection with Your use of the Printify MCP Service; or (e) Your breach of these MCP Terms.

7. Suspension, Termination and Changes

7.1. Printify may add, modify, restrict or deprecate tools at any time. Tools added after You establish a Connection may become available to a connected MCP Client without a further authorization step, however Printify reserves the right to require re-authorization or user opt-in before granting access to newly introduced tools.

7.2. Printify may, in its sole discretion, immediately suspend, restrict or terminate Your access to the Printify MCP Service or disable specific tool executions, at any time and without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

7.2.1. breach of these MCP Terms, the Printify Terms;

7.2.2. Any activity Printify reasonably believes poses a security, integrity or legal risk.

8. General

8.1. Printify reserves the right to revise these MCP Terms from time to time and the most current version will always be posted on our Website. If a revision, in our sole discretion, is material we will notify You. The “Last Updated” date at the top of these MCP Terms reflects the date of the last modification. Your use of the Printify MCP Service following the effective date of any modifications to the MCP Terms will constitute your acceptance of such modification. If You do not agree to these MCP Terms, You should stop using the Printify MCP Service.
