Can you briefly introduce yourself and share how you got started in affiliate marketing?
“I’m Alek – I got into affiliate marketing by accident because I was making YouTube videos about my dropshipping/print-on-demand businesses.
After making several videos that picked up some steam, I realized people watching might want to sign up and give it a shot as well, and if they’re signing up anyway, I might as well make it easy for them and make some money in the process by having an affiliate link.”
What challenges did you face when you first started as an affiliate marketer?
“I’ve tried other types of affiliate marketing in the past, and the difficulty with that is not being able to speak to the consumer of the product directly.
I think since I can speak to the people who need to use the programs I promote, they end up converting quite well. Besides that, being patient is always the most difficult.”
Can you share a specific moment or campaign that marked a turning point in your affiliate marketing journey?
“Once I started sharing my videos, it just made sense to have the link. Growing any kind of following takes time, but once one piece of content takes off, all the others do as well.
To me, it’s about consistency with making high-quality content, and eventually, I’ll make some pieces that blow up.”
I don’t really try to adapt to anything, but if there’s a hot topic going around and it makes sense to include in my content, there’s no reason not to include it.
What specific strategies or tactics have contributed the most to your success as an affiliate?
“On top of making valuable content, with my specific niche of affiliate programs, the success of the customer is required.
I don’t get paid unless they do, so I’m incentivized to teach the viewers the best I can to actually get them real results.”
How important is building relationships with your audience and other affiliates in your success?
“The relationship is mostly the viewers either getting value or not. When the viewers of my content get value that they can act upon, it strengthens the relationship and creates a win-win scenario – they’re successful, and I get paid more from the affiliate deal.”
How do you stay updated on industry trends, and how has adaptability played a role in your success?
“I don’t really try to adapt to anything, but if there’s a hot topic going around and it makes sense to include in my content, there’s no reason not to include it.
People love starting up-to-date and on the cutting edge – especially in business.”

Are there any specific platforms or software that have significantly contributed to your success?
“Buying courses focused on getting better at the content business has been the most valuable investment regarding affiliate marketing.
I try to find someone doing the thing I want to do and pay them to learn how to do it. It’s that simple, and it really does work.”
What advice would you give to someone just starting in affiliate marketing?
“Increase the value of the content you’re posting, keep it genuine, and the customers will come.”

Any specific mistakes you've made that others can learn from?
“Not regarding affiliate marketing specifically, but I’ve seen a lot of creators fall for the trap of taking deals with companies that they don’t directly align with, which depletes their goodwill with their audience.
Since I use the programs and platforms I promote, there’s no selling the sign-up – I’m just sharing what works for me.”

What are your future plans or goals in the affiliate marketing space?
“Continue to do what works, and only promote stuff I like and use.”
I decided to focus on a niche product that I was genuinely passionate about and had a lot of knowledge about.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share how you got started in affiliate marketing?
“I’m Rich Khun from Hustle Ninjas. My path in the online world has had its share of challenges, but things really started to look up in 2014 – that’s when my journey took an exciting turn.
In 2019, I began making educational videos on YouTube, which was a whole new adventure for me.
I’ve tried my hand at affiliate marketing off and on, but it wasn’t until I set up my own platform in 2019 that I really began to see some real success with it.”
What challenges did you face when you first started as an affiliate marketer?
“Honestly, at first, I didn’t really know the right way to do things. Like a lot of beginners, I thought just posting a link on a high-traffic page online would bring in sales. But that’s not how it works.
I learned that just because you put a link on your blog, website, or YouTube channel, it doesn’t mean people will automatically start clicking and converting.”
Can you share a specific moment or campaign that marked a turning point in your affiliate marketing journey?
“One specific moment that marked a turning point in my affiliate marketing journey was a campaign I launched in early 2019.
I decided to focus on a niche product that I was genuinely passionate about and had a lot of knowledge about. Instead of just posting links, I created a series of in-depth YouTube videos. These weren’t just product showcases. They were comprehensive guides and helpful tools.
The campaign’s success wasn’t instant, but over a few months, I saw a steady increase in traffic and, more importantly, conversions.
This experience taught me the value of authenticity and engagement in affiliate marketing. It’s not just about the links – it’s about connecting with your audience and offering them real value.”

What specific strategies or tactics have contributed the most to your success as an affiliate?
“I’ve come to understand that going viral on TikTok or racking up views on YouTube is just a piece of the success puzzle. Sure, these platforms can bring in lots of clicks and maybe even some conversions, but that’s mostly just initial interest.
Just because you have a large following does not mean you have a community.
A big part of our success comes from what we do afterwards, like nurturing potential customers – the leads that are still cold but need to hear more.
Creating a lead funnel for yourself can help a lot. It helps gather customer data, which is super useful for things like SMS and email marketing.
Plus, inviting your audience to join private groups on Facebook or Discord, or even to attend in-person events really helps build a more powerful community.
The more your audience feels connected and trusts you, the more likely they are to convert after they’ve gotten to know you and your brand or company better.”
How important is building relationships with your audience and other affiliates in your success?
“Building relationships with your audience and other affiliates is crucial to success. As I mentioned earlier, nurturing your audience through more personal interactions like groups, workshops, or events is key.
It’s a lot more intimate and connecting. You can’t rely solely on your videos or blog posts to do all the heavy lifting. These are just the initial steps in attracting leads.
The real magic happens when you engage with your audience on a deeper level. This means having real conversations, understanding their needs, and providing value beyond just selling a product or service. It’s about creating a community where people feel heard and valued.
Similarly, building strong relationships with other affiliates is vital. Networking with peers can open doors to new strategies, collaborations, and insights. Sharing experiences and learning from each other can lead to mutual growth and opportunities that might not have been possible alone.
Competition begins, but collaboration wins.”

How do you stay updated on industry trends, and how has adaptability played a role in your success?
“Adaptability is key to staying relevant, but it can also be quite overwhelming.
When you’re doing affiliate marketing through blogs, TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube, it often feels like you’re constantly trying to catch up. There’s this sense that you never have enough content out there, and it can be exhausting.
One of the best strategies we’ve adopted to manage this is building a team. As your operations grow, it’s crucial to evaluate your processes and figure out where you can delegate tasks.
Whether it’s hiring a copywriter, an email marketer, or an editor, getting the right people on board can make a huge difference in managing the workload and staying adaptable in the ever-evolving marketing landscape.”
Are there any specific platforms or software that have significantly contributed to your success?
“We’re not suggesting that these platforms are the only options – you should do your own research to find what works best for you.
However, for email marketing, we’ve had good experiences with ActiveCampaign and ConvertKit. For SMS marketing, we use SimpleTexting and ClickFunnels, and GoHighLevel has been our go-to for building our marketing funnels.
Now, it wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t share my affiliate links here, but remember, there are two approaches to affiliate marketing.
You can focus on the short-term strategy to get immediate clicks, or you can play the long-term game, building relationships and aiming to make sales further down the line.”
Similarly, building strong relationships with other affiliates is vital. Networking with peers can open doors to new strategies, collaborations, and insights.
What advice would you give to someone just starting in affiliate marketing?
“I’ll be transparent here – if something’s not working, it’s your fault. Success often depends on a bunch of different factors.
Take posting a YouTube video, for instance. Is your thumbnail eye-catching enough to get people to click? Is your content engaging enough to keep viewers watching? Do you have a strong call to action and offer real value to encourage them to click your link? What’s in it for them if they do click?
There are loads of things to think about, but once you get the hang of it, it’s all about repeating what works and adjusting to new changes.”
Any specific mistakes you've made that others can learn from?
“Trying too many things and giving up too soon. If you’re just starting, you’ll have to stick around to see success.

What are your future plans or goals in the affiliate marketing space?
“In the future, I want to really connect with my audience more and reach even more people. I plan to find new and interesting products that my followers will love.
I also want to get better at using data to make my content and ads work better and really hit the mark.”
Is there anything else you would like to share with our affiliates, any final thoughts, or words of encouragement?
“Perseverance has always been key for my personal success. There have been many times when I looked back on the things I gave up too early on, and I’m curious as to where it could be if I kept pushing.
If you want true success in the affiliate marketing space, you’ll have to become hyper-focused and continue to push through all of your failures.
You are already the person that you want to be. You’re just living at a different time in your life right now.
If you truly believe that you will be the most successful affiliate marketer in the world, then you are already that person. You’re just not that person today.”
“Work hard, share the truth, be patient, and success will come to you.”

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share how you got started in affiliate marketing?
“My name is Truong The Nguyen – just simply call me Nguyen. I got started as a POD seller first in 2016 with Facebook Ads, and after five years, I jumped into Etsy.
Being an Etsy seller, I realized that it was boring to do alone. I needed a community where people could share everything about Etsy, so my group was born, and my affiliate marketing began.”
What were the first challenges you faced?
“There are many challenges as an affiliate marketer. People didn’t know me much. People didn’t trust what I did or what I shared.
So, at the very beginning, I just focused on building my community and kept sharing anything I knew about Etsy and Printify. And after a long time, my affiliate has grown naturally and steadily.”
Was there a specific moment that marked a turning point in your journey?
“That was the moment I got the first payout for my affiliate marketing – just several dollars.
That moment is so meaningful to me because it helped me confirm that this road can be safe and sound.”
What strategies or tactics have contributed to your success?
“I keep convincing myself that people’s benefits must be put on top so they will turn back to me and be willing to register an account via my link without any hesitation – they know that I’m bringing them the most benefit.
The story here is about a win-win. Everyone is happy.”
How important is building relationships with your audience and other affiliates?
“It’s very important to build relationships with my audience. I must have their trust first by sharing everything – all facts and truths about my doing, my experience, and my willingness to help or support people. This requires so much time and patience.”
How do you stay updated on industry trends?
“I always keep my eyes on the industry, such as the new rules or new policies, the competitors, the traffic, as well as the macro economy of the world. These things will decide how you survive and grow.”
Are there any specific platforms or software that have significantly contributed to your success?
“Everything I have done so far all by myself without any tools or software.”
What advice would you give to someone just starting in affiliate marketing?
“In my position, I suggest you have to be good at selling first, then share with people.
People will come back to you, and that’s a big chance for you to become their affiliate.”
Any specific mistakes you've made that others can learn from?
“Everything needs time, so keep patience and don’t be rushed.”
What are your future plans or goals in the affiliate marketing space?

Any final thoughts or words of encouragement?
